Summary

Alkane is intended for seasonned operations teams,
so there is no "plug-and-play" reason to expose it by default.

On FreeBSD, if it binds to localhost, it binds to 127.0.0.1 in IPv4.
On Linux, it can bind to [[:1]]:8000 in IPv6.

In both cases, curl "http://localhost:8000/status" works.
