Actually, Murmur stopped the instance because IPv6 weren't available pending network issue diagnostics.

A reboot seems to have solved the issue.

Severity assessment: no impact in production.

Difficulties I noticed with vim: tried to copy/paste (mouse middle button) the script found at
https://gist.github.com/eculver/1420227
after pressing the "a" key ("append") to switch to edit mode. Console froze for a dozen seconds and issued garbage. I managed to close vim and return to a working prompt.

@rama I suggest to create something like photos-pour-wikimedia-commons.nasqueron.org as subdomain for the pictures.
