Plan is to deploy:

• Naemon, a fork of Nagios 4
• LiveStatus to publish checks in real time
• Thruk, their web UI to visualize checks results

That will be a simple reference implementation we can compare Sensu or whatever against to determine suitability.

This reference implementation has the advantage to be open source, simple and modular. Open source is important as everything else is open core and we're discussing T1938.
