Some work to do to improve jails infrastructure quality:
- Environment variables should be migrated to /etc/jail.conf
- Jails should use a documented loopback address
- A dedicated IPv6 should be assigned to each jail
Some work to do to improve jails infrastructure quality:
Status | Subtype | Assigned | Task

Open | None | T448 More modern jails management on devserver role
Resolved | dereckson | T449 Updated ezjail to ezjail-3.4.1_1 on Ysul |
This task has been identified as suitable for the December product backlog for infrastructure. It's included in our product backlog and will be discussed for inclusion to sprint backlog this E3 meeting.
We currently use jails only on devserver role for Poudriere, not anymore for hosting purpose.
Complector, db-A-001 and router-001 have been created as independant virtual machines on VMWare ESXi instead to use jails, so I'm not sure we've a current case for jails systems.
Note we've still a case for deploying poudriere itself, but that can be tracked in a new task, T2039.
