VMWare EXSi performances in softraid aren't optimal.

https://www.soyoustart.com/fr/offres/142sys3.xml could be an alternative if I/O aren't satisfactory.

A little bit paradoxal, but EXSi apparently doesn't support the E3-SAT-2-32 in hard raid mode.
