Upgrade Ysul to FreeBSD 10.2
Closed, WontfixPublic

Description

Release notes

https://www.freebsd.org/releases/10.2R/relnotes.html

Counter proposal to consider

Would it be valuable to switch to -STABLE instead to use -RELEASE?

Release notes important points

The default pkg(8) repository set in /etc/pkg/FreeBSD.conf now defaults to the quarterly package set. To use the latest branch (as was the previous default), the comment at the top of /etc/pkg/FreeBSD.conf explains how to disable the default repository and specify an alternative repository. Event Timeline

dereckson updated the task description. (Show Details)
dereckson added a project: Servers.

FreeBSD 10.3 is coming, to deploy STABLE is under consideration, and so this is probably premature to open a task for this.

This task were at first intended as a blocker for a request to upgrade a jail to 10.2, as Jails should use a kernel up to date with the userland we want to deploy inside it.

To reopen if such a task is published.
