If we don't rely on a PHP back-end, let's go for Django. For easy JS manipulation of .svg files, we should try and see if raphael.js suits our needs.

As the user UI will rely on JS, and the application code will be done in Python, we have two evident choices to build our service for the main server:
dereckson lowered the priority of T165: Install OpenShift Origin v0.1 Alpha on Dwellers from High to Low.
Currently, interest has shifted a little bit from OpenShift to Docker instrumentation and composition.
Superseded by T218.
dereckson closed T124: php-fpm on 5.6.3 listens only to some ports on Ysul, a subtask of T120: Update Ysul PHP to 5.6.3, as Wontfix.
Can't repro in later PHP versions.
